Ares, the Greek God for War

Ares is one Greek god, and he is Zeus's first child. While he isn't favored by his parents nor any of the other gods he loves, Aphrodite is his closest and most faithful lover. The god is often associated to violence in all its ugly forms and with war. He is associated with violence, blood, indiscriminate killing and the destruction or life.

Ares was a war god

Ares was ancient Greece's war god. He embodied the most violent and barbaric parts of war, and he was the brother of Athena, who represented the honorable and benevolent aspects of war. Although Ares was the god of war, the Greeks believed that he could also help individuals in their personal battles.

Zeus and Hera were the parents of Ares. He was often associated with war, death, and borders. He also loved women. A Greek myth describes a secret love story between Ares (the Greek god) and Aphrodite (the Greek goddess). Ares was not popular in the ancient Greek myths. Hephaestus held him in contempt, and he was indeed a god.

Ares, god of war was a bloodthirsty madman who thrived off destruction. The Greeks worshiped him from about 1200 BC. He was born in Thrace. His people were very fearsome. Because of his bloodthirsty nature, Ares wasn't a popular god, and he was often bested in battle. He was also frequently put into a container by giants and was often the victim Of Athena's Retribution.
