Homer's Homeric Hymn To Demeter
Homer's Homeric Hymns, a collection of 33 hymns dedicated to the gods, are written in Greek. These hymns have epic meter and use the same dialect as the Iliad and Odyssey. They are among the most famous pieces of ancient Greek literature.
The Homeric Hymn to Demeter deals with the loss of Demeter's daughter, Persephone. Cronos, Persephone’s husband, had set up an alliance with Hades. Persephone then died and the earth opened, allowing Hades to return underground.

Homer's Oedipus rex
Oedipus summons Tiresias the blind prophet to help him. This is the beginning of Homer’s Oedipus ReX. Tiresias claims to have the answer but refuses speaking. Oedipus, after hearing all this, goes into a deep depression and accuses Tiresias in his murder of Laius. Oedipus presumes that Creon paid Tiresias this to do it.
Oedipus Rex is a Greek tragedy from the 4th century BC. The play opens with Oedipus (king of Thebes) sending Creon, his servant, to Delphi to inquire about the plague affecting Thebes. The oracle reveals that the plague is due to the unsolved murders of Laius. As a result, Oedipus vows to find Laius and solve the plague.
Homer's Orpheus
Homer's Iliad, 7th century BCE saw Orpheus make his debut as a Greek mythology hero in the Iliad. His story ended in the ninth century CE. He was a mortal, sometimes a demigod, who was married with the sea nymph Eurydice.
One classic example of a story about reincarnation is the tale of Orpheus. Homer describes how rebirth works in the Iliad as well as the Odyssey. He also describes the role of the Moirae girls. The Orphic stories are overlaid on the Homeric description of the afterlife.

Homer's Eurydice
Homer's Eurydice, a classic Greek myth about a mortal Nymph and her relationship with Orpheus is a classical Greek story. The story begins in the 7th century BCE when Eurydice first appears in Homer's Iliad and ends around the ninth century BCE. Eurydice married Orpheus and was the daughter Apollo.
Eurydice fell in love with Orpheus and they eventually got married. Orpheus broke his promise that he would never look back. After leaving Eurydice he attempted to return to the Underworld to ask for the life of Eurydice. Hades barred him from entering Hades when he arrived. He couldn't even enter the Underworld by singing.
