Parthenon
The Parthenon is an architectural masterpiece. It is one of the most well-known ancient temples in the entire world. The building's long horizontal lines look like they are sagging, but the designers intentionally curved them. They made the vertical columns wider in the middle to make the whole structure more dynamic. Parthenon architects also added many hidden devices to the structure, such as curved colonnes, which helps improve its overall appearance.
The Parthenon has an astounding number of architectural refinements. The temple's walls have friezes that depict battles and Gods. A child is shown holding a folded cloth. Two girls are carrying something.

Heraion
The Heraion, an ancient temple in Samos Greece dedicated to goddess Hera, is a huge sanctuary. The site is about six kilometers southwest of Samos Ancient City. The site has been a popular destination for visitors to Samos for a long time. Here began a long-term campaign of excavations in 1925. The Second World War interrupted work, but it was resumed in 1951. Leading this excavation project were Ernst Buschor and Ernst Homann-Wedeking, who continued their work until the early 1960s. These excavations were instrumental in establishing the chronology and revealed a number of votive items from the 8th century.
