Despite not having any religious roots, the term "pagan" is used often to describe those who don't follow traditional religious practices. The word comes from the classical Latin 'pagus,' which also derives the word "peasant." The original meaning was "nonreligious", or rustic. However, it has been interpreted as civilian over the years.
'Heathen' means'military'
'Heathen' is an adjective used to describe those practicing Asatru, an Old Norse religion. The term is also used for practices based on Germanic traditions. Asatru has members in Germany, Canada and the United States. They are organized by the Troth, an 501(c)3 religious organisation with stewards located in New Zealand or Australia.

'Shamanism' means'respect for the dead'
Shamanism comes with its own philosophical underpinnings. While Shamanism was closely related with the early Abrahamic religions the shamanic worldview had more gods or evil spirits and superstition. Its influence is reflected in the Bible.
'Witchcraft'
In pagan culture, witchcraft is the practice or use of supernatural powers to manipulate the world. Pagans have been practicing such methods for hundreds of years. They believe that they can gain special powers by connecting with the natural forces through rituals or special conspiracies. This tradition is frequently associated with esotericism. Esotericism is the study of ancient beliefs, philosophies and theories.
'Druidism'
Druidism can be described as a spiritual path that draws on ancient pagan practices and beliefs. Many druids believe that nature is essentially spiritual, and believe in reincarnation and alternate lives in the Otherworld. James Lovelock worked for NASA in the 1960s and developed the Gaia hypothesis. This theory states that Earth is an organism. Golding gave the idea its name.
'Hellenism'
"Hellenism," a broad umbrella term, refers to many pagan religious traditions emulating the pantheons from the ancient Greeks. These practices aim to revive ancient religious practices. Some groups claim to be the original traditions, while others are revivalists.

'Wicca'
Wicca is a form of pagan religion, which generally involves worshipping and working with a Goddess or God. These deities can take many forms, such as the Triple Goddess or Horned God, and the Goddess of the Moon. Each group will place different emphasis on these deities, but Wiccans believe they are one and same, and part of the divine image.
