polytheists

The Greeks believed that the god Hades was the ruler of the Underworld and held the secrets of the earth. He was also a benevolent god and gave gifts to his people. The three-headed Cerberus, one of his most well-known creatures, is one of his most beloved creations. The Greek poet Hesiod once said that Cerberus had fifty heads. Cerberus has other distinctive features, such as the serpent tail and snakes on its back.

Persephone

Many young adult novels feature the Greek myth of Persephone, which is often paired with Hades. These novels often portray the couple as lovers with sensuality being a key theme. Persephone (and Hades) were both daughters by the Olympian gods Demeter/Zeus. Persephone also had many other siblings. Persephone's sons were Hades and Persephone's daughters, and they were the Erinyes who were the descendants Hades and Gaia.

Hades

Hades, the Greek god of Hades, was a powerful force within Greek mythology. His presence is reflected in the place where the dead go to die. This place makes the dead feel depressed and alone. It is a place where you lose everything. It is also a place of loss, which can be interpreted as the loss or meaninglessness in your life. Hades may be considered a place for physical death but it is more prevalent in the unconscious.

The Greek god Hades is one of the six main deities. He rules the Underworld, and is the master over Fate's goddesses. His role is to manage the alternation between destruction and birth. Hades and Fate are both well-known in Roman mythology. In the Greek myths, Fate goddesses carry the souls of those who die to Hades, where they are punished. De raptu Proserpinae has one of Hades' most well-known allusions. In this poem, Hades (and Fate goddesses) appear before Zeus and implore him to stop releasing the Titans.

Iao
