There are many religions all over the world. Some of the oldest include Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, and Judaism. There are many others that are older than this. We'll look at some to learn more on the roots of the religions in the world.
Judaism
Judaism is a religion that follows rules and principles in daily life. These laws include the 613 commandments in the Torah and the numerous rules that have been codified by scholars over the centuries. These laws govern everything from prayer and ritual to diet and personal status. They also establish rules for how holidays should be celebrated.

There are many aspects to Jewish law that are expressed in decrees that govern economic and social life. Many of these laws focus on protecting the poor, orphans, as well as slaves. Social critics have also influenced Judaism throughout history, including scholars and prophets who organized sacred texts of Jewish faith.
Confucianism
Confucianism is a philosophy that emphasizes the cultivation of virtue in a morally organised world. Confucianism is a philosophy that applies to both personal as well as communal life. The core ethical concepts of Confucianism are ren, and yi. Ren is the human essence, while yi is a moral disposition to do well. Both ren AND yi are present in Confucianism's rituals.
Confucianism refers to a system that puts the family at the heart of society. While it emphasizes hierarchy, it also includes a system of divine providence. It encourages goodness and propriety. It also encourages sacrifice and ancestor worship.
Hinduism
Hinduism is one of the oldest religion in the world and has been around for thousands of years. It originated in the Indus Valley in Central Asia and is still widely practiced today. Its name is exonymic, derived from the Persian term'sindus", which was a reference to the people who lived in the Indus River.

This ancient religion centers on the concept dharma, which is morality. It stresses the importance of respecting all living beings, even animals. Hindus do not eat pork and beef, as they consider cows sacred. Hinduism has many similarities to other Indian religions. Its symbol is the om, a group of three Sanskrit letters that stand for three sacred sounds.
