Western religion refers to the Judeo-Christian faith tradition that is widespread in the Western world, in particular in the domestic context. The development of modern secularism has been closely connected to this tradition. However, it did not evolve in a vacuum. Instead, it evolved within a specific cultural context and ideologies. While some people still adhere to traditional Western religion, others have abandoned them and are hostile towards the tradition.
Christianity
If you believe that Christianity is just a Western religion, you are mistaken. This religion is a global phenomenon. People practice it in more than 193 countries. It is a powerful force that can unite people from different parts of the globe. Its doctrines are held dear to its followers.
While Christianity has been the dominant religion in Western World for many years, it is no longer the case. Christianity is more popular in other parts the world today than it is in the West. This shift in numerical strength is just part of the story. Many Eastern groups have maintained that Christianity is a Western religion.

Marxism
While some Christians may question whether Marxism can be considered a religion or political philosophy, most Christians agree with them. Both religions are important. The Christian faith affirms that God created mankind and that man is an individual. Marxism, on the other hand, rejects this view and affirms that man is culturally and socially interdependent.
Marx was not an atheist but he was very materialistic and had strong views towards science. He also greatly admired scientific inquiry. This is how his atheism was expressed in his opposition towards religious belief.
Progressivism
Progressivism, in western religion, is an idea which aims to make the world a better one by eliminating old beliefs and replacing with newer ones. This religious approach does not rely solely on divine guidance. Instead, it aims to correct the mistakes made in the past and create new ones. Progressivism rejects the idea of a soul and seeks a naturalistic, artificial reality to replace it. Progressivism, while attempting to destroy old beliefs and replace them by new ones, also offers hope for society.
Progressives believe humanity is on the "right side" of history, and that people can understand History's goals. They believe progress is inevitable because of the changing of human values. This eventually leads to an idealized history that does not include religion and classes. Unfortunately, this view has no basis in empirical science and is based on an extravagantly ideological and religious outlook.

Eastern Orthodox Church
Some Westerners believe the Eastern Orthodox Church to be a Western faith. They consider this unjustifiable. But, there has been a disturbing incident. After wearing a cassock to a Washington, D.C. rally, a priest of the Orthodox Church, America was temporarily expelled. Other clergy have also voiced their political opinions via social media and personal blogs.
Orthodox Christianity places the Holy Trinity at its core. It is a concept that transcends traditional Western religions. Orthodox Christians believe Christ was crucified, went to Hell, and rose again in order to rescue those who are trapped in Hell because of original sin. He then cured humanity of its guilt and liberated it from Hell.
