Enhance is a mindfulness program based on evidence that improves cognitive skills and well-being. The program has been evaluated with adult volunteers in Canada and the USA. It has been reproduced successfully with college students. Its effectiveness was evaluated in four areas: cognitive function, attention, memory (physical activity), and spirituality. Study also revealed that skill lessons that focus on the weakest areas of participants were most beneficial. However, both groups showed improvements in well being.
Self-directedness
Learning how to self-direct is one way to improve your wellbeing. This can be accomplished through a variety different activities. Music or art classes are two examples. A fitness class is also an option. In general, you will be happier when you do these types of activities.
Self-direction can also be achieved by developing a positive self image. Because people who feel in charge and empowered are more likely than others to support their own self-direction. Positive self-concepts help people to accept their human family members' responsibilities.

Cooperativeness
Collaboration is an important social trait for human well being and can help boost our moods. This is especially important in workplaces that require people to cooperate to meet their goals and maintain smooth operations. There are many ways to encourage cooperation in the workplace, including a variety of leadership approaches.
Because the participants in the study were college students, it is possible that their results are not representative of daily life. These results may not necessarily reflect the entire U.S. citizenry. However, previous studies have shown cooperativeness does not correlate with ethnicity and gender. The study also failed to measure trust between participants and strangers. This is crucial in determining whether people will cooperate.
Self-transcendence
Self-transcendence refers to a state of consciousness and an intentional activity that can reduce stress and improve well being. It can help people make sense of difficult situations and create new meaning from loss. Self-transcendence can transform a life or make it more vulnerable. Research has shown that self transcendence is a predictor of, mediator, or correlate of well-being.
Recent research has shown that those who have had spiritual experiences score higher in self-transcendence tests than those who didn't. They also found that self-transcendence was associated with higher levels of paranormal beliefs and traditional religiousness. But this relationship wasn't found to be independent from existential health.

Character development
Angela Duckworth, founder of Character Lab is a nonprofit organization that promotes character development. She is also a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Christopher H. Browne Distinguished Professor. She is also co-director of Penn-Wharton Behavior Change For Good Initiative, and Wharton People Analytics. In addition to her academic work, Duckworth founded a summer school for low-income children. She is also a manager consultant and a science and math teacher.
Character development is multifaceted and involves a variety of positive and self motivated behaviors. These behaviors are guided primarily by values. In one study, Israeli twins rated their values at age 11 and at age 13, and found a positive correlation between prosociality and benevolence, and negative associations with universalism, power, and achievement. On the other hand, popular concern and aggression had an opposite association pattern. The same was true for openness and conservation. Peer conformity and risk-taking were also related.
